DANIEL BOONE is most famous for his hits during the early 70’s, starting with DADDY DON’T YOU WALK SO FAST, which reached No. 17 in August 1971 and stayed in the charts for 15 weeks and then the international chart success BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY, which reached No. 21 in April of 1972, staying in the charts for 10 weeks. This record also reached No. 15 in the USA charts in May 1972, staying in the charts for 11 weeks.
DANIEL BOONE, however, entered the pop business much earlier than this, having been a famous song writer in the 60’s under the name of Peter Lee Stirling, writing such big smash hits as I THINK OF YOU for The Merseybeats, which was a No. 5 record in January 1964, staying on the charts for 17 weeks.
